Stepping Stones: Developing Cross-Cultural Partnerships in Early Childhood Education

This paper introduces several significant themes and issues relevant to early childhood education that has been drawn out from a cross-cultural pedagogical exchange. In particular it presents an overview of the 'Teaching and Learning through the Arts' project undertaken at both the Tianjin Preschool Normal School Kindergarten, China and the University of Melbourne's Early Learning Centre, Australia.
